SWONA Summer Picnic

Location: West Central Park, 1919 Harrison Ave NW, Olympia, WA 98502

Join us for an afternoon of food, fun, and community connection at our annual SWONA Summer Picnic! This is a great opportunity to:

  • Meet your neighbors and connect with the SWONA community

  • Enjoy lawn games, shared food, and neighborhood updates

  • Support local businesses located near the park

There will be live music, family friendly games, and SWONA project information info booths. All ages welcome!

RSVP on Facebook if you plan to attend! It helps us get a better idea of how many attendees to expect.

We encourage those who are able to, to walk to the event to free up the limited parking for business customers and for individuals with limited mobility.

Family-Friendly Entertainment

Bring the whole family for activities everyone can enjoy! The Olympia Fire Department is tentatively scheduled to stop by from 1:00–1:45 PM (pending any emergency calls). They’ll have one of their fire trucks in the parking lot of Cedar + Rose Salon (101 Milroy St NW) for a fun, hands-on visit that kids will love. We’ll also have classic lawn games set up throughout the park for all ages to enjoy.

21+ Entertainment

For guests 21 and over, Turtle Lounge (200 Division St NW) — right across the street from West Central Park — offers beer and free pool, and Westside Tavern is a full-service bar with food.

Food Trucks

We’ll have a great lineup of food trucks:

  • Tutti – opening specially for the picnic - make sure to show them some love!

  • All About Pad Thai

  • Kabocha Food Truck
